WELCOME WEEK CONCERT ARTISTS CONFIRMED!

Alright, so MacInsiders has known for a little while what the bands were going to be but weren't allowed to say them (yet, it appears it snuck out from someone outside of MacInsiders as certain people gave it away in the forums!!). The official announcement has been made by Christina Burns (MSU Campus Events), so here it is:

Tuesday's concert is with TOKYO POLICE CLUB - FREE!! with special guests Ruby Coast. Start time is approx 8pm but stay tuned for more details as we get closer to welcome week.

The Saturday concert is featuring ALEXISONFIRE! with special guests from the UK - Johnny Truant

And to make it even better this year the MSU has graciously made the concerts
FREE TO ALL MAC STUDENTS! Expect the concerts to be gated and all students must show valid student ID to enter the Saturday concert.

Movies and comedians for the comedy show will be announced in the coming weeks.

Saturday - ALEXISONFIRE w/ special guests JOHNNY TRAUNT

Yeah I dont like the bands either but w/e.. I didnt like Hedley, but when they came I was like YAY. Jacob <3 TPC isn't bad.. and AOF is ok sometimes.

I would've loved if we could have Arcade Fire or Hot Hot Heat but TPC is great too. Not so much into the screamo thing with AoF.

Love TPC, Alexisonfire, and Johnny Truant. Been waiting for JT to get over for a show I could make it to for a while, makes it better that it's free :-D

Just wondering if anyone has any estimates on the start time for the Saturday show with Alexisonfire and Johnny Truant. Will it be 8 or later? No earlier than 8 I hope...

Gotta say Im not a fan of either of these bands but I will go anyway. Should be great times even if the music isn't great.

And agreed: Arcadefire would have been sweet

On the Facebook group it clearly says the Saturday show will be students only, but doesn't mention about the Tuesday show. Will there be non-student tickets available for Tokyo Police Club?
