This is not the place to be discussing MI Staff's conduct or past behaviour. If you have an issue with a staff member, message them privately through PM, or contact me directly ([email protected] com) or PM me to discuss a staff member's conduct.

Becoming a moderator of the forums is not easy and requires hard work and dedication, staff examine the applicants posts and behaviour on the forums before accepting them to become mods, and clearly TailSnake has demonstrated respectable behaviour enough to be approved. Furthermore, the post you quoted was prior to that user becoming a moderator.

Anyone can apply to be a moderator by emailing their resume and a few paragraphs describing their experience and why they think they deserve to be a moderator of MI. It is then brought to all of the existing moderator and executive staff of MI and goes through our approval process.

If anyone is looking to discuss this further, feel free to PM me. We're always looking for exciting new talent and well respected, long-time MI members are welcome to apply!

Yeah, it's not like they have legitimate grievances against the state or anything. No, no - the problem is intrinsic - they're just not Canadian enough.

This is a mild form of precisely what I was talking about. Instead of considering the grievances of the groups you're referring to (assuming they exist), you assume their reasons are merely polemical in nature and pin the blame on an issue intrinsic to a particular group rather than the interaction of greater Canadian society (state included) with that group.

And even if you were talking about Indians and Pakistanis, there are plenty of differences between the two apart from their spoken language and skin tone. In fact skin tone varies too, once you go South of India.
