i can answer for sociology and theatre and film,
sociology there were A LOT of readings.. you get 2 textbooks and youre usually assigned 2-3 chapters a week (1-2 in the bigger text, 1 short chapter in the smaller text). as long as you keep up with the readings youll be fine, dont fall behind because its not fun trying to catch up on like 4 chapters at once ! as for the workload, you do an annotated bibliography in the fall, midterm during first term exams, final research paper in the winter and final exam during second term exams. if you manage your time well it can be easy since theres no little assigments you have to worry about. it was an interesting class, so if youre interested in the subjects you should do well.
for theatre and film (i dont remember exactly) but there were 2 short papers and a presentation.. the papers were easy and were both less than 5 pages, and the presentation was in a group so you arent alone! it made it a lot easier/less nerve wracking that you are presenting in a group bc you can get help from your groupmates/run over your part with them to make sure its right. it was a realllllly interesting classs so if the reviews/course outlines interest you then you should enjoy it ! i found the workload wasnt too heavy, you just have to manage your time well with all your other classes so that you dont fall behind
sorry i wrote like a paragraph aha i hope this helped !!
