1st yr eng complimentary study electives
hi, im joining mac eng next fall and i was wondering what are easy electives that i could easily get 9+. I really don't have specific interests, as long as im doing well in the course I am satisfied. However, a point to consider is that i hate writing essays so any course that has essay writing is a no, but i am very logical, and a good memoriser, and open to learning about new things.

A lot of people in first year look into:
ECON 1B03 & ECON 1BB3.

Welcome to mac eng!
As herbs said double econ is a common trend considering if you want eng & management you need econ 1bb3

I thought for management you had to do 1b03. And I was thinking of taking that course, however I didn't want to take two econ courses so any suggestions on interesting but easy electives?

Took 1b03 first year. Easy 10 if you do the bare minimum of work, although that was 4 years ago so I don't know how the course has changed.

Most people in first year eng take Econ 1B03 & 1BB3 as their electives. Lots of people also take
Health and Aging 1AA3 & 1BB3, Geography 1HA3 & 1HB3 and a handful took Classics 1A03.
Health and Classics have some essay writing but the others don't. I personally took both Econs during first year and they were pretty easy. The material was really easy to grasp and there's not much memorization...most of it is common sense.
If you wanna read about the different electives, look at this: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...ent/pg103.html

I think you'll love Econ 1B03, and like Econ 1BB3 for sure. Very easy courses.
