2 year bsw post-degree schedule
Like many others, I am patiently waiting to hear from the faculty about acceptance offers. Just a few questions for those of you who are in or graduated from the post degree program:

What is the schedule like? Are the classes generally spread out throughout the day? How many courses do you have to take per semester?
I ask this because I am hoping to be able to maintain my part-time job that runs from 320-6. Do you think it is possible to uphold employment while attending school or is the post degree program too demanding?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

All classes run in three hour blocks (usually day classes are 2:30-520, night classes are 7-10). Post degree students take four courses per semester in the first year. In the summer you'll do your placement four days a week, typically for 8 hours a day, then a seminar class once a week from 9-4. In the fall/winter term of your final year you'll e in placement two days a week 8 hours per day and take three courses.

I know people who work part time, but it is quite demanding, you will have a lot of essays to write (including a 50 page essay in Social Work 2A06). In the summer it's strongly advised not to work because you will be basically working a full time job during the day + class assignments. People do burn out in this program and it's really important to take care of yourself.

Good luck!
