Self-explanatory title really. What was your favourite game of 2010 and why? Obviously, it had to have been released in 2010.

Mine is Red Dead Redemption.

Temporarily, anyway. That is because I have yet to play a certain game released in the early months of 2010 which, next to Red Dead Redemption, won awards left and right. Regardless, Red Dead Redemption delivered on integrating solid open-world gameplay with an engrossing story revolving around the death of the west. It also boasts the best ending to a video game I've seen in recent memory, especially given the fact that it's a nonlinear world (looking at you, Bethesda).

Also, not enough good Western games out there. Counted for something.

If you want to go a step further, what was your favourite game of the decade? I cannot think of one off the top of my head, but here are some of my previous winners.

2009: Demon's Souls

2007: Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions

GOTY: Red Dead Redemption

I played this game to death. It had everything you want in a videogame then they release zombies!! Went from a 10/10 to a 11/10 in my book. The missions weren't repetitive like Assassins Creed (which was still an awesome game in other ways), multiplayer was extermly fun and hilarious at times if you had a good 'posse' and the story was just awesome.

Runner up: Alan Wake

This game was tons of fun too. The storyline kept me interested unlike other campaigns (Black ops for instance I still have yet to complete the second level haha after weeks). The gameplay was something unique too albeit fustrating at times.

Prediction for this year: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
No doubt in my mind this game is going to be GOTY

I wasn't particularly impressed by any game I played in 2010 (well I was but it was a game released in 2009). Hopefully this'll be a better year for games I actually like...

Anyway, out of the games released in 2010 it's a toss up between Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

I have to second on QWOP. It actually takes skill and is enjoyed by all.

Angry Birds was technically released in December 2009, but it was probably the game with the biggest impact this year.

In terms of games I actually enjoy though, Assassins Creed 2. I've heard Brotherhood is even better, but haven't had a chance to play it yet.

Sadly, I am thinking that Skyrim is more than likely going to get delayed. Why? It's releasing on November 11, 2011. In other words, 11/11/2011.

Now think: what else is being released in November? I am not just talking about -this- year in general, I am talking annually. Which gaming franchise, as of late, sees a sequel every November? Particularly a franchise that topped one billion in sales this last December with its latest installment.

Okay, now, if you are the head of the publisher which distributes said game, a publisher often scorned at in the industry for its moneygrubbing strategies, which day of November would -you- release it on?
