The application period for the
2014 Job Shadow Week program is now open! This year, the program will run during the week of
November 3rd-7th, and students can apply to multiple placements on OSCARplus by submitting a résumé and cover letter.
Here are the specific instructions:
1. Login to OSCARplus
2. Click on “Placements” > “Student Success Centre Externships” > “Placement Postings”
3. Click “Search Placement Postings” and choose “Job Shadow” for Position Type
4. Click “Search Job Postings”
5. Apply to your placement(s) of choice!
There are
over 130 Job Shadow placements on campus, in Hamilton and across the Greater Toronto Area. Co-ordinated through the Student Success Centre, the Job Shadow program enables students to shadow a professional of their choice for a
full or half day. There is a wide range of placements to choose from including: accounting, business, finance, human resources, health care, public health, research, law, and more.
For students who need a résumé and cover letter refresher, drop-in critiques are available in the SSC (Gilmour Hall 110) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Student application period closes on October 13th @ 11:59pm.
