Is 21 units considered part-time?
If I take 21 units during the Fall/Winter term and take 6 units during Spring/Summer, would I be considered part-time?

Pretty sure you need 30 units to be considered full-time.

Just to clarify, you need 24 units that term. Fall/Winter is one term, and Spring/Summer is one term.

In other words, during the 'regular' school year (Sept-Apr), you must take 24 units to be considered full time, but during the spring/summer session, people are usually part-time because they take up to 12 units for the whole duration (May-Aug).

To be considered full-time by McMaster you need to take 24 units in a school year. To be considered full-time by the MSU (in other words, be an MSU member) you need to take at least 18 units.

I'm currently considered a part-time student by McMaster, but am a full time MSU member because I have 21 units. I made sure to talk to advisors about it and they told me that generally speaking, there's no real difference between students who take 24 units and students who take 21 units in terms of what they can do or what they can recieve. Only OSAP really is affected.
