2nd Year Comp. Eng (and elec?) .. conflicts..
So.. we initially had 1 conflict 2nd term. I went in to alexa and saw her, she said they would try to fix it. And guess what, they did! Yay

Now.. they changed the timings of a few courses for 2nd term. And guess what? We have 2 more conflicts! Yay so its doubled now -.-

The courses that conflict are 2 tutorials from:
2EI5
2DP4

Thats just great. Now what do we do? Skip 2 classes to go to these tutorials? oh wait, that would be a bad idea cause they both conflict with the SAME classes cores! 2FH3 to be precise. (lol, 2FH3 tutorial was our initial 1 conflict.. this is just badly organized)

I know what you mean - I have 2FH3 conflicting with at least 2 other classes right now. But my advice is to not worry about it. Until August 11, schedules are not considered final. If after the 11th you still have the conflicts, then ask about it. But with so many people in elec&comp eng, I doubt that they'll just leave it like that.

Well, when I saw Alexa last time about the 2FH3 tutorial conflict, she said chances are it wont change, and we would have to get a "buddy" to take notes for us.

Hopefully she is wrong, again.

Oh boy, I hope she's wrong. Learning second-hand never works for me, and I don't even know if it's one of those tutorials where you get marked for attendance. :\

I don't remember where I heard it, but I thought the timetable release date was the 11th. It would be awesome if it was tonight though. Then I could plan out my eating times, ahaha

So this is lying to me?

All the timetables should only take the computer maybe an hour to generate :p

Hmm. I think it gets Generated tonight, but we will only be able to edit on Aug. 11th. Does that make sense?

You will be able to view them on Aug. 11. I guess it takes quite a while to generate the timetables and fix the conflicts and stuff.

Keep in mind that the Department (that includes Alexa) doesn't have control over schedules. It sends the necessary classes, tutorials and labs to the scheduling department and scheduling takes over from there.

Seeing as how 2DP4 and 2EI5 are both second term courses, there will be plenty of time for changes to happen.
