In short: YES. You can take them but don't expect to do well if you don't pass 2CI5. You can ask for special permission to take the courses but, again, I don't recommend it.

As for speaking to the advisor, why are you afraid? They're there to help you.

I dont know why you dropped the course so prematurely. You have until November 30th. You probably would have had a better gauge of your chances of passing by that point.

really really thanks to you reply my question...
so basically, if I get special permit, I can take 2cj4, 2ei5,2fh3 course without taking 2ci5.

Student must pass midterm and final seperately....

It was my understanding that you have to pass the combination of the midterm and final together.

Students must pass the combined midterm/exam component separately to get a pass in the course.
I just copy from course outline...

You have to get >50% on the combination of the midterm and final. Separately meaning do not take into account your lab and quiz marks. If you had to pass the midterm by itself, a lot of people would be screwed considering the average was 16/30...

You can but, again, I do not recommend trying to. 2CJ4 builds on 2CI5 stuff, and by that I mean that it assumes you can do stuff much harder than your midterm in your sleep. You don't have time to think, to second guess yourself. You have to know everything in 2CI5 like the back of your hand.

2EI5 is the same AND it adds some more non-linear components (MOSFETs, diodes, BJTs, etc.) Again, you have to be able to do Norton, Thevenin, KVL, KCL, first order, second order circuits in your sleep.

2FH3 was a lot of math and not much circuits when I took it, I don't know why 2CI5 is a prerequisite but they may have changed it.

In the end it's your choice but don't be surprised if you don't do well.

The average was almost a fail, so my guess is by the end they will most probably bell curve it.

That average is better than when I took it. I believe it was just under 40%, though the final results must have been curved as the exam was not easy either.
