2nd year Psych B.A (Questions)
Anyone going into 2nd year psych (B.A) that could help me out?
So, these are the requirements for this psych program ...
I've already acquired the 3 units for math in first year. Does that mean I have to replace these units with something of my choice? Does the same go with the 6 units electives in humanities/dpt or religious studies? Because 30 units are required each year right?
Level II: 30 units
3 units SOC SCI 2J03 (See Note 2 above.)
9 units Level II Psychology where at least six units must be from PSYCH 2AA3, 2AP3, 2B03, 2C03, 2I03, 2S03
3 units* from MATH 1A03,1F03, 1K03, 1LS3, 1M03 (See Note 1 above.)
9 units Electives, excluding Psychology
6 units Electives. If not completed in Level I, a minimum of six units must be from the Faculty of Humanities or the Department of Religious Studies. (See Note 3 above.)

Yeah, if you already filled a requirement, then you get an elective/open slot. Maybe you cna get ahead for next year?
I'm not in the program, so maybe call the department to clarify.

Are you planning on trying to get into Honours Psych for third year? If so, you should take: Psych 2RA3, Psych 2RB3, Psych 2TT3, Psych 2H03, Psych 2E03, and either Psych 2F03 or 2N03. Just something to consider.

Thanks for the suggestion Mike. Where are you getting these psychs from? This is the course list for honours psych: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...nt/pg1945.html
Also, I don't think I can get into honours psych second year, because I was in life science first year and I didn't have the prerequisites for honours psych first year....so wouldn't I have to take those prerequisites and then the prerequisites for honours psych 2rd year...? plus the courses required for just psych (B.A) ahhhhh seems impossible.

You're looking at the Honours Social Psychology requirements; not those for the Honours Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour (B.A.); which are located at http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...nt/pg1724.html.

Make sure you load your degree audit for the program, sometimes it has different course requirements than the McMaster calender.
