Hi I was wondering if first year students can do sometime like 4 coureses each semester and then do remainder in summerschool...

are you still considered a full time student? and do you need to see some councilor? what are some disadvantages to this?

In order to be considered a full time student you need to be registered in at least 21 units for the academic year.

3 units = one four month course (sept-dec or jan - april)
6 units = one full year course (sept-april)
x units = depends on faculty (there are 0, 1 2, 4, 7, 9 unit courses).

So yes, you can take four classes in each term, and take the rest in summer school if you wish.

A disadvantage to this has to do with employment in the summer. You either will be taking school and working full time (I'm doing it now and finding it rough), or will only be able to work part time.

The number of courses available in the summer is drastically less than available in the school year.

Usually the courses offered over the summer are only the core courses, ones that are required to get into certain programs that people missed or failed in their previous year.
