My program allows for 48 first year credits. What happens if I take more than that to complete certain requirements for med school?

They won't count towards your degree.

if you plan things well you wont have to take more than 48 credits- do your research now so you dont have to waste your time and money later
cause if you want to cover your bases you need:
2 chems
2 phsyics (for american med i believe)
2 humanities/english
2 bios
you can take (or rather hopefully you took) 2 of those courses now and dont have to deal with later- if not you can always switch one of your electives for 2nd term
