transfer credits in 1st year engineering
I will be joing Engineering Level 1 this fall but ive got quite a few courses transferred in first year itself and was told that these wouldnt be counted towards my CGPA. Is this going to hurt my chances of getting into a 2nd year program like Engineering Physics?

...No.

The chances of you getting into a level II program are indeed determined by both your cumulative average and the number of courses (or more specifically, the number of units) you took, so you will be at somewhat of a disadvantage with transfer credits that don't count towards your CA.

However, there is essentially no cutoff for Eng Phys due to it being a very unpopular program. As long as you pass level I, then you're almost guaranteed a spot unless for some reason its popularity explodes.

I am not quite sure if it is a disadvantage?

Three of my friends, including myself went to college and graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Engineering and went to Mac. We got our credits transferred for certain courses.

Each one of us got into our first choice. Two of us into Electrical and one into Civil (Civil was the toughest program to get into this year).
