AC at Brandon Hall?
Hey guys,
Is it true that there's AC at Brandon Hall?
Of course I have to worry about the summer heat on September.
Let me know!

Yupp there is! I was on the first floor last year and there was an AC/heater. I think there's a set date when they turn the AC to heater mode (for the entire building). No worries, you'll definitely be able to keep cool in September!

I think the date is Oct 1, and it's all throughout campus. It was deathly hot after they turned the heater on, but nobody could control it. Like, think of the temperature outside today, and that's how it was in my room/the games room in LP. It was awful! I kept my window open for the rest of the year, even when there was a blizzard or -30 weather outside, because my room was so hot! You'll be cool in Sept, it's the rest of the year that you'll melt

Shalz.t : I am going to be on the 8th floor.
Nerual: Did you ever bring a mini AC/electric fan since you are telling me it's deathly hot there?

I don't think you're allowed mini-AC units, but I'd definitely bring a fan if you find it's too hot. I should also add that my room was abnormally hot...other people in my building didn't die as much as I did, although we determined that it was because I was on the 6th (highest) floor, and heat rises. You're on the 8th floor, which is higher, but Brandon is also taller, so it might not be as bad? I pretty much died of heat anytime I was in my room, though, so if yours is anywhere near as bad as mine, you'll definitely need a fan.

The AC wasn't too kind to us last year though. Lo wasn't cold enough and medium was too cold so the window eventually becomes your best friend.

I was on 7th floor Brandon..never had problems with the heating or AC. If there's ever anything wrong you can always ask at the service desk for it to be checked out- could be just something that needs to be adjusted.

Hey Telal, my seventh floor buddy!
AC was really nice to have during the first month, it can get really warm on campus and in the building, but it stays pretty cool, even on 11.
I was on seven too!
