are they single beds in the residence?

Yes, all residence beds are singles.

Are there bedside tables in the rooms? If there isn't, I think I'm just going to use my fridge .

I forget all the furniture available in Brandon, to be honest; I was only in there a few times.

If I recall correctly, there are no bedside tables (you mean like a nighttable, right?). And also, I sort of doubt you are going to be able to put your fridge directly beside your bed due to issues of space.

And I'll be setting mine up first day!

I went to visit Brandon Hall last week. The rooms are pretty small but easily manageable. No nighttables, but there is a "dresser" right behind the beds that you can use as such. Also, the desk is right infront of the bed and can be used for the same purposes.
