Academic Reboot Day?
I stumbled across this when I was registering for welcome week and I'm considering it... I'm going into Life Sci and I got pretty high grades this year but I feel like my study technique is all wrong and a waste of time. Once I finish taking notes from the textbook I have like 100 sheets of paper I don't really refer back to. Anyone know anything of this event or recommend it? There's a $50 fee but I wouldn't really mind if it meant I could have a stable, time-efficient study method. Thanks

Everyone has their own methods of studying and there is no such thing as a stable and efficient study method. Each course itself also has different styles of studying.

For Math based and economics courses, there are certain styles of questions that are asked by certain profs, and their practice tests and exams and lecture notes will be better things to study off of with the text book being a back up to understand the questions.

Other courses that require more memory will require you to memorize loads of things.

The key is finding the best method that works for that class, never went to "studying reboot camp" and I did pretty well in first year, sounds like a gimmick to me.

Like allanandthera said, everyone has their own ways of studying for courses and different courses have their own method of studying too. Try your best to find the study method that works for you in each courses and don't worry if you haven't found a perfect one because there is no such thing as one.

Going through university, I never found a perfect way to study for my courses. I took courses that require me to memorize a lot of things so that's pretty much what I did in terms of studying. I've never heard of this Academic Reboot Day until I stumbled upon this thread.
