I have maxed out my year 1 courses, but since I want another first year course to complete the requirements for a minor, will I be allowed to include the new year one course and not use one of the previous courses already taken? Please advise!

My best answer would be that you can take the course but you need to take a non-first year course to make up for it. But you should probably talk to an academic counsellor to confirm.
