ADVICE NEEDED ..help
hello, i was wondering if it's possible to move exam days, and if so how is a student elgible? i just found out I'm taking a family trip the weekend of the 18-20 and i have an exam on the 22nd, but i live 4 and a half hours away and it costs $100 + to get home, am i able to switch it and who do i talk to?

clearly, since im asking if its a possibilty to switch it...i obviously am able to ..but its a huge inconvience since in total it will cost me over 200$ in travel those two trips and considering the distance not as easy travel.

I would talk to your prof.
But I highly doubt that they will move an exam for a family trip (even if it is important), but it never hurts to ask.

You can try, but don't get your hopes up. Profs pretty much NEVER move exams because of trips, so I'm guessing you won't be able to get it moved just because it's expensive/difficult for you to get to school.

>implying it's the prof who sets the exam dates
>implying the exam date will be changed for one person
>implying the exam dates aren't finalized

if you can't write you will need a good excuse for you to write it as everyone else who defers the exam.
go to your assoc. dean's office.

I'm going to go ahead and say there's a reason they (being every prof I've had) tell you not to take trips during the exam period. I highly doubt that you could get your exam changed for a trip, especially because the trip and the exam don't overlap. I'm pretty sure the only way you can get an exam changed is a conflict or with a doctor's note that you were too sick.
