I heard an ambulance on campus today, and someone in one of my classes said something happened in the student centre. Does anyone know what happened?

No idea, but there were boat loads of people standing outside the student center, and I heard about something being evacuated around 11:30 this morning when I was walking from TSH to BSB.

The ambulance you speak of were actually fire trucks.

I guess somebody pulled the fire alarm.

Ya I saw the fire truck, never heard anything about an ambulance though.

I saw the firetrucks. I heard that the fire alarm went off in the student centre. One of my sources said it was the popcorn maker in the Atrium, which I believe because that and cotton candy makers have caused a lot of smoke in the past when not working properly.

it was a fire alarm, i was in the basement of the student centre when it went off - two fire trucks and the constable but no one was rushing into the building so i don't think anything serious happened - apparently during reading week the alarm went off because there was a problem with the construction in front of titles so it might have been that again

Yeah I smelled strong buttery popcorn on the second floor when we were finally allowed to go in.

mmm popcorn.

I'm not sure why I thought it was an ambulance. Thanks for clearing this up guys!

There was an ambulance that came onto campus today too.
