Android wifi on campus?
I recently got the Samsung Galaxy Vibrant. I am wanting to use the wifi on it while on campus but cant seem to get it to work. I can get the log in page to load up but then it always says my mac id and password do not match.
Does anyone know what I might need to do to fix this? And yes I have checked several hundred times to make sure I am entering all my info right. Are Android phones not supported on campus?
I am also wondering how I can get my mac email to connect to my phone, the pop address is not being accepted...
thanks in advance!

The email server should be muss.cis.mcmaster.ca for incoming and outgoing...and I'm pretty sure it's POP3.
Regarding MacConnect, no idea sorry :/

Make sure you're connecting to Macsecure, not Macconnect. It will ask for credentials, where you enter your username and macid password. After that it will automatically connect whenever the wifi is available.
As for email, I just have Gmail check my mcmaster email and fetch via pop3. The instructions are on Mcmaster's site somewhere (search around)

I usually just use my phone's data, but macconnect works for me.
Regarding email: connect your account to gmail, its a lot easier to manage email that way.

Alright, got the email working. But now my phone is just freaking out about the wifi. It is telling me that it is scanning and then disabled then scanning then disconnecting.
The reason I want the wifi is so i dont use my data while on campus.
Any hints?

anyone else have any more hints?
I can get to the sign in screen when I use MacConnect but it doesnt accept my macID and password (says it doesnt match, but its correct and can get it to work on my mac email when i use my data).
When I use the MacSecure it doesnt do anything. The wifi connection flips between "connecting" --> "disconnecting" but never goes anywhere beyond that.

When you enter text into the password field, the software might automatically change your first letter to a capital (sentence form). Make sure this is not happening...
