Hey guys, so i am not entirely sure how many people here follow this whole "Anonymous" thing. I find it interesting, but at the same time not sure what to believe

Here's a sample "Anonymous" video:

So what do you guys think?

Bunch of people with no life. They change their views as Paris Hilton changes boyfriends.

Why no life? Well, in order to change the system you must get to the top of the system and go top to bottom. Hacking people's accounts and websites will do absolutely nothing and thus it is a waste of time. In fact, the day when it's classified as a terrorist organization for affecting governmental services is not too far.

Now. I don't hate them completely, as they do support piracy, which I am a fan off... I love watching bootleg VHS tapes. But then again, they did nothing when Demonoid or Megadata got busted, so I don't know... That last one also shows how irrelevant they are. If they system wants you to bust you, it will bust you wherever you are.

Yep, i totally agree with you! I also don't think that "OpIsrael" is doing much anyways, they claimed to have hacked many "important" Israeli websites, but really it's just simple, non-governmental ones. Mossad is considered one of the best secret agencies in the world, i really doubt that people actually hacked their system.

The trick is, all the technology accessible via the information super highway is nothing in real world of secret services and warfare. Lets say, they hacked CIA's website. Does CIA keep any important or data that could be used to jeopardies their work on the server that can be hacked by a teenager living in the basement? No. Do they keep important information in the network that even can be connected by someone outside the agency. No. Will intelligence agents stop working after that? No. So at the end, it did nothing at all and was absolutely pointless.

You might get your parking ticket processed 2 days later, because they disabled the Transportation Ministry website.

I liked it better way back when anonymous just aimlessly did things "for the lulz". The morals that they've acquired since then kind of defeat the whole purpose. They're just a bunch of lazy activists now...

They've essentially become part of the perpetual cancer that's killing /b/ (assuming it's not already dead).
