Another OSAP Question
This stuff is so confusing. I just checked my status and it seems my forms have been processed... However, they're only releasing like 60% of it now... and I've got like, 4 more grand coming in January.
Is there no way to get it all in one lump sum? I was kinda hoping to use a lot of it for my rent... o_O

I can't imagine OSAP making an exception like that. As far as I know, the 60/40 split is just the way it works.
Best thing I can suggest if you need the rent money is to go for a student line of credit.
Or do what other desperate college girls do and...never mind.

Oh, I didn't know the 60/40 thing was standard.

The main reason (IMO) is in case students drop out or their financial circumstances change (It's easier to take money out of money they haven't given yet than to get students to give back money).

So if you have been reassessed, do you have to go back and sign the forms and everything again?

If you've already picked it up then they will most likely alter your second pick-up.
