Anthro 3AS3
this class was very strange.
we only had about 4-5 lectures this term because our prof (dr. finsten) was sick quite a bit.
there's one 4-5 page paper
midterm
group project
take home exam
the marking seemed to be a bit unfair to many students, with the highest marks on the papers seeming to be around b+.
the midterm was fine though, as long as you did the readings.
the group project was more work than it should have been. 30-40 minute presentation with 15 people worth 5%, and then a 20% paper of 4-5 pages based on what you learned and what you did. once again, highest mark around b+.
6 page takehome, wasn't overly difficult but i definitely had to think.
some people who weren't anthro majors stated that the class was too difficult to have no pre-reqs, but i think that as long as you do the readings you're fine.
also, no course materials. everything was found online.
