2 years ago I think, so this is the 3rd year. I think they introduced 1LS3 in my first year when they first split up the sciences into the 4 sections (Physical, Life, Math, and Env/Earth). Then the year after they introduced 1LT3, don't know why there was a lag time though.

They started offering it last year. It is a good course, I'd recommend it!

Soo this 1LT3 course, is it a second year course? I'm only in first year so I don't know if I can take it for term two, even if I will be finished with 1Ls3?

Courses that start with 1 (ex. 1A03) are first year courses.
Courses that start with 2 (ex. 2A03) are second year courses.
Courses that start with 3 ... you get the point, right?

For the most part. You can take any course as long as you meet the requirements, it doesn't matter which year you are in (Unless the requirement states that you have to be in a certain level/program).

I'm pretty sure they label their courses by "content". For example, Stats 2B03 is labelled such because it's material is considered to be of level 2. However, this course is geared towards 3rd years who are looking to do a thesis in 4th year. That was the explanation that the associate dean's office gave me when I asked them why there were so little second year seats reserved for the course and why they would not open a seat for me when I was in 2nd year.
