This the 1C03 project? Cause if it is, they should provide you with the parts...

Just go to that random computer shop near campus and just say you need a floppy drive.

Ask a grad student in one of the research labs in your department. Most of them (especially in experimental fields) will have numerous 486- original pentium era computers sitting around. You'll probably find someone who can spare a floppy from a computer that has been dormant for a decade.

Oh man, you missed it.

A couple weeks ago there was a call for all crappy old computers to be dumped on the lawn near the student center. Everyone was ravaging the pile for RAM and CPUs.

There were over 9000 floppy drives lying around.

Unfortunately, all the remains were taken away for recycling at the end of the day.

lol

What I got out of it was a 320gb and a 250gb hard drive, and other 17 dead hard drives, a zip drive, some memory, a broken paper shredder, an internal speaker, power cord, and a screwdriver.

I am not sure if it is still there, but last year there was a container behind JHE with old computers. If you dont mind jumping in, you can probably find what you need.
