We tend to have the ability to easily memorize and retain information through music, so I've found that by putting key terms/lists to the music of my favourite songs has been quite helpful

I find writing out (by hand!) the key points from class really helps me to memorize information.
You could type it out as well, but for me, writing out the info by hand seems to do the trick.
Then I read my written notes over and over again. Reading aloud might help as well.

Different strategies work for different people, but in general though, the more you are exposed to the information, the easier it is to retain.
