Impossible. You'll have to get one of the meal plans.

You could always purchase your meal plan and donate it to me...

Isn't there a way where you can transfer your meal plan to someone else? Maybe someone that lives off campus would want something like this.

Why would you transfer it to someone off campus...?
In theory I suppose you could share your mandatory meal plan with someone else (e.g. an off-campus person pays for part of the res person's meal plan), but the money is still going to be on the card of the person living on res. Still I think it's doable...
Besides, off-campus people can subscribe to their own meal plan.

But they don't get access to a flex account, so they are still paying taxes. The only good thing is you don't have to carry cash/change.

Sadly, no. But you could always share it with any off-campus friends and get them to pay you back. Also that way, they're not paying taxes on their food. It's a win-win situation .

Anytime you put money on your student card and use it on campus for food you don't get charged taxes.

That's only if you have the term plan. You're supposed to be charged 5% tax if you choose the freedom ( http://hospitality.mcmaster. ca/mea...offcampus.html), but in the past I've been charged full tax, 5% tax, and no tax with the freedom plan on separate occasions. Kind of inconsistent.

There are two values when you buy food, the top is without tax and the bottom is with tax. I always get charged tax when buying food on campus as the bottom number always stays.

Keep in mind you can use your meal plan towards multiple off-campus restaurants. I burned through money like nothing due to Boston Pizza and Basilique.
