This is the email I got back after waiting 5 days for a response:

I would suggest you speak with scheduling at 905-525-9140 x24453.

I think I know what the problem is, maybe I don't lol.

But, SOLAR does not allow you to select different tutorials/labs for Chem 1A03/1AA3, but I had different lab/tutorials, so I think that's why I couldn't modify it. Some glitch. Gotta find out tomorrow.

SOLUTION:

Alright, so I had the exact same problem as Brady23. I had tutorial X and lab Y, for CHEM 1A03 so SOLAR wouldn't let me modify the course (no drop down menu appeared when I tried to modify it).
But, for CHEM 1AA3, I had tutorial Z and lab Z and I was able to modify it just fine. Here's how to 'fix' the glitch:

To fix this problem, log onto SOLAR at 4:30 am (or when you know no-one else is going to be making course changes on SOLAR).
Then, DROP both courses.
Click on "Verify and check for conflicts" and then, "Apply requested changes".
Next, exit SOLAR, and reopen it.
Go to the timetable and add CHEM 1A03 and 1AA3 again, making sure to pick the same core and lab that you dropped and the tutorial number that corresponds to your lab number.

*Because you dropped the course just a minute ago, the cores/labs/tutorials that you dropped will show up as available. Be sure to make your selection quickly so no-one else takes your spot.
You will now be able to modify your selection.

There's really no point of trying to fix the glitch at least for Chem 1AA3 since all the labs are full anyway... (But almost all the tutorials are available even though hardly anyone goes to the tutorials.)

Was anyone able to switch the labs around with another person? I'm just curious if this is even possible. Also, did anyone try calling to switch it and did it work?

How can all the labs be full if the cores aren't all full and most of the tutorials are empty
