I'm trying to digitize some of my Hi8 family tapes. The USB TV tuners I bought smoke too much ass (they don't provide proprietary mpeg-2 codecs required for decent quality, or at least they don't work with the ones that I got).

I know that most Digital8 cameras are backwards compatible with Hi8s, and will digitize the tapes. Really need help here, it's not exactly state of the art technology and is really hard to come by.

If you are selling it cheap enough I'm also willing to buy it.
