Ya probably. It's pretty much the same procedure every time for installing plates into almost any HP laptop made in the last 4 to 5 years.

I think my gf's laptop has this problem. Would someone be willing to fix this up for me/her? Would be more than happy to compensate you for time and parts

I have a G60 that I bought in late 2008...the sheer amount of problems I had with that thing was ridiculous. Even after clearing the fans it would still overheat enough to literally burn my leg, and it got to the point where it would just shut off within half an hour. Good to know I wasn't the only one, hahaha!

Sure, no problem. Remind me in September when everyone's back at school and I'll take a look a look at it and see if the repair is possible/needed.
