Anyone know what summer residence at McMaster is like?
So for my first year, I basically lived off campus. I always envied the people wo live on res since they were so close to class and Mac is a very safe campus. I may take summer school at Mac and was wondering what res is like in the summer.

If you want the residence experience, do it during the year.. off campus housing is slightly (alot?) cheaper I believe?

What is it like? Expensive. You get people to come give you clean soap and clean towels every day (or few days), but other than that it's not much different than living during the school year. Summer housing is in Keyes and most food places are either closed down on campus or have limited hours. Honestly, you can rent out a summer room that's close to campus for dirt cheep. Or you could look for a 12 month lease if u plan on staying off-campus near Mac in September.

IMHO there's no point going for rez in summer school because you're not gonna get anywhere near the rez experience that you'd get living there in the normal year (when people are actually living on campus)

you could easily get a sublet for 100 bucks/month probably since ppl get desperate to find sublets in summer

Yea, I've stayed there during the summer, there is no social experience at all.
