Guess McMaster ran out of money to get a more well known group.

Well, given the main constraint being the artist must be Canadian, I'd say they did an awesome job this year. LIGHTS is extremely popular and The Arkells are definitely far from unknown.
Who would you have preferred?

I couldn't care less for the Arkells as they're Mac regulars, but I'm damn glad to have Lights back. I don't think anyone even remember last year's (The Sheepdogs?).
She's got the advantage of not being another generic, mildly successful rock band too (see: Tokyo Police Club, Alexisonfire, illScarlett, USS, the Stereos, Down with Webster, and countless others before my time).
...But then again, this'll have been my third time seeing her this year, so I'm pretty biased.

I'm more excited for the EDM concert than the friday one, although the 'must be canadian' thing probably applies again for the DJ
