Is Armstrong a good teacher?
I'm taking History 1A03 and I just want to know if Armstrong is a good teacher. If she is, I might stick to the class since my only problem is that it's an 8:30 am class and I'm not a morning person.
Can anyone also elaborate the lectures and tutorials in this course?

THANKS A BUNCH.

Did you touch upon, Gallelio, the Spanish Inquisition, the Protestant and Catholic revolutions of England, the Witch Craze and the Black Plague ?

Also my favourite part is French Revolution.

I think you do more regarding the French Revolution in 1AA3 - you don't do too much, as it's a baby history course, but you do touch on it...

Armstrong is a fantastic prof. She was definitely one of my faves!

The tutorials are pretty standard, there's weekly little one page assignments where you basically analyze a primary source and answer questions about it. I took it last year, so it might have changed a bit.

HIST 1A03 is a really interesting course, and yes, all those topics are touched upon.

You'll definitely like it!

We didn't talk too much about the Spanish Inquisition, but we certainly covered the other topics you mentioned (especially the 'philosophes' and their relation to the French Revolution)

She is a great professor but is a bit hard to take notes in her class.

She tries to follow the outline and then she tends to backtrack to a previous idea and explains it more. Make sure to leave plenty of room for each point on your paper.
