You should talk to your faculty's academic advisor. A 10.2 sounds really awesome though.

A quick glance at the possible range of marks (0 - 12) should give you an indication of what's a good average and what isn't.

Ahh nothing like that. I meant that if someone has already had a transfer or someone who been at mac for longer than one term might know what the required marks for a transfer might be like.

Im sure theyd consider you, but i know the material you learn in B-Tech is much different than you learn in first year engineering. Especially in math - no formula sheet, crib sheet, etc.
Only course we had a crib sheet in was materials, which was a pain in the butt and didnt help at all

I know from college they offered direct entry except it was only to level 1 which was pretty much a waste of time. Likely they will admit you to level 1 which in your case would be good because you'd only lose out on the one year of time you've so far put in. Depending on your technology program, Lakehead offers two year accredited engineering degree completion as well. Because of the CEAB accreditation process, it will not really matter much where you do your undergrad. But university choice (ie. Mac vs else) may matter if you choose to pursue a master's level or higher education. If you are looking for a P.eng it is still quite possible from a B.tech. If you are looking for a practical job, then you will have to weigh your options because both programs will provide slightly different benefits when it comes to your employment. Anyway, to sum it up, you will likely be admitted into level 1 but you might want to also look at what you could get from other institutions to make sure you aren't wasting time.

B. Tech refers to the Bachelor of Technology program. Like Business Informatics, it is also run by the faculty of Engineering, but it is a different program.

There are different streams in B tech, biotechnology is one of them, but I don't think he specified what stream he was in

Yup.
I be representin' the Energy
(Really, our 2 year degree completion program for Technologists takes the 3rd and 4th year Electrical Engineering program and goes hardcore into relevance in the power industry, specifcally for Ontario. So Ontario Power Generation, Hydro One, etc.)
