If you're interested in evolution, it might not be so bad then. But there's an entire textbook that you'll need to know for the exam

I think the bio department is quite professor based.

For math (at least the ones that I took) and chem, the tests are always the same for all the students and the lectures are the same, though maybe they go at slightly different speeds.

But bio? Not so. Same text but some profs are good some are awful, some are difficult some are easy.

I had Dushoff and Kolasa and lucked out, people don't like their teaching styles (though most agree Dushoff is okay/good) but their tests were fairly easy so the teaching doesn't really make a difference.
