Believe in 2012
Do you guys believe in the theory that in 2012 there would be catastrophic events which might lead to the end of the world?

No.
There are catastrophic events all the time that don't lead to the end of the world. They're tragic and unfortunately lead to the end of many lives, families, villages etc but not I don't think the world is ending anytime soon.
Its certainly going to hell in a handbasket but its not ending.

I'd also like to point out that it certainly is not a theory, a theory is:
"a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world; an organized system of accepted knowledge that applies in a variety of circumstances to explain a specific set of phenomena"
A theory requires more than "oh, well, Mayans had a Calendar that ends here!"

The Mayans may have been incorrect, but it doesn't mean that they were neanderthals. Last I checked, we're all homo sapiens.
Nothing's going to happen in 2012. There've been worries about weird things happening other years, like Y2K and all that.

Not really, the media always needs something to talk about. Just wait until it gets closer to 2012 lol.
Anyways I went to see the movie at the drive-in and, the fog outside got so bad I couldn't see the last 30 min so I left. If anyone saw it, can you tell me how it ends?

I read some reviews for the movie, and what was mentioned several times was: "All special effects, no backstory or intellectual aspects, entertaining but not mind-blowing."
Basically, it's the same as Transformers. :] It's the same director and writer from The Day After Tomorrow (but I actually liked that movie).

No. My understanding, 2012 is something is a western deduction on a calendar. Just because their calendar ends in 2012 doesn't mean they believed time will.
And Arnold .. Seriously? :S

2012 is just a decoy, the real shit is going down in 2011. We won't be prepared.

While I'm glad that NASA wrote this up for all the idiots in the general public, it's doubtful that those idiots even bother to read NASA articles or anything of the kind.
