best lecturer?
Do you have a prof that you think is the best lecturer? Do you think everyone should know about it? Do you think we should get the word out to the rest of Canada that Mac is the best university in the nation?
If so, submit to TVO's best lecturer contest! Basically, you nominate your prof, and if they're selected a lecture of theirs will be videotaped, and then judged.
You can check out the procedure here: http://www.tvo.org/TVOsites/WebObjec...best lecturer

I was at a function some four months ago where Dr. Maydianne Andrade from the University of Toronto - Scarborough (who was a top 10 finalist in this competition last year) was delivering a speech and she is easily the best and most charismatic speaker I've ever heard.
I'm only in my first year so I'm not quite keen on the topic, but I'm sure there are some excellent McMaster lecturers =)

Have you ever had Dr. Day as an actual prof or just through video lectures? Because he's A LOT better when he's actually teaching a class

Noo, I haven't, Vlad. But you are right; he lectures much better (I went to a mini lecture of his in the summer) IN person.

http://www.ratemyprofessors. com/Sh...sp?tid=1 0303
I haven't had him as a prof, but the comments sure make him sound great. So far I haven't had any awful profs during my 2.5 yrs at mac

Yeah Childs is an awesome teacher. His class is always full because people skip their other linear algebra and calculus classes just to go to his lectures.
