Bio 1M03 Test #2
I'll be frank. I loathe this course and have little to no interest in basically everything about it. Unfortunately, I'm in lifesci and it's mandatory. ><;
Here's my dilemma. The test is this coming Wednesday, but I also have a math test and an essay to look forward to the next day. Yes, I know this is my fault with my God-awful time management skills, but I simply don't have time to review math, write a philosophy essay AND read 5 chapters worth of friggin' monkeys.
OKAY, time for the question. I have Stone/Kolassa for 1M03. Stone's midterm was easy, but annoying (hurr, which answer is the MOST correct? B AND C? Yay!), and his notes were awful. Kolassa's notes are about as bad, but I have no idea how his tests are.
Should I...
1. Defer the midterm and pray to God that the final doesn't destroy me or
2. Pull a good all nighter and do the test anyway (this option assumes that Kolassa doesn't ask ridiculous questions)?

MSAF is not directed to a single course. It's a general form to inform the faculty that you were sick and couldn't participate in tests, quizzes, assignments, essays, etc...
So no, you cannot use it again. If you are sick however you can just get a doctor's note.

so she would need to get this note to the dean ? But on the msaf website it says " If you are absent for reasons other than medical reasons, for more than 5 days, or exceed 1 request per term you MUST visit your Associate Dean's Office (Faculty Office)", so you can't report it if you are sick to the dean?

I am in a similar situation as you and have decided to defer the mid-term, just study really hard for the final, it's going to be all MC. Also, for MSAF forms, do I email my prof and ask them to add the weight of mid-term to my final or do they automatically do this? (I heard some profs make u write it the next day or something).

It's your responsibility to talk to your professor about the course of action that can be taken. They may just add the weight to your exam, they may get you to write the midterm later, they may give you a make-up assignment, etc...

I am in a very similar predicament, i have decided to defer the midterm as there is just way too much to learn before wednesday night and I want to focus on my other midterm and my assignment for my other class. I am going to hope and pray that the exam doesn't kill me but I am going to start making a study schedule now so that I am prepared for the final.
