My question is how would the person regrading the test know that you didn't fool around with the test
like someone could have wrote down the answer after and get it regraded.
I doubt someone will actually do that but I dont want to get accused of doing such act
Also how troublesome is the test regrading process, any comment would be helpful

If you wrote in pencil it will be REALLY hard to get it regraded. You could have easily erased it, and put the right answer. :(
As for regrading process, first visit the TA during his/her office hours and discuss the problem. If it cannot be resolved visit the prof during his/her office hours and discuss the issue. Otherwise you will have to accept the 0 if the prof says no.
