Bio 2A03 vs. Kin 1Y03; Chem 2E03
If anyone has taken said courses, I would very much appreciate your feedback regarding my two questions.

Q#1: I need a physiology course in order to keep open the option of SLP. Would you recommend Bio 2A03 or Kin 1Y03 to fulfill this requirement? I am more interested in the physiology aspect of things, although I realize that anatomy and physiology are hand-in-hand, but because of this, 2A03 seems more interesting. However, I have also read very negative things. Which course is best in terms of workload, interest, and how easy it is to get a good grade?

Q#2: I also may need to take Chem 2E03 and I was wondering if anyone had the most recent course outline. And again, can anyone who has taken it comment on the course in terms of workload, interest, and how easy it is to get a good grade?

Any help is immensely appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I am taking Bio 2A03 right now and its HELL !!!! the labs are so ****ing hard! and the midterm was... it was ok but some questions were so annoying. Take Kin its simpler because its ANATOMY not PHYSIOLOGY there is a big diff.

1Y03 is pretty intresting but also very hard to get into. 2A03 is a ton of work but intresting. Labs in 2A03 are brutal though so if u want less work go with 1Y03

I've taken Kin 1Y03 and it's more anatomy-based than physiology. I'm taking Bio 2A03 right now, and the labs are a pain, but I can give you a full comparison between the two at the end of the term if you'd like

From what I've heard from fellow kin kids 2A03 this year isn't too bad except for the labs.

Although they took Kin 1A03 & 1AA3.

Personally if I needed ONE physiology course I'd take 2A03. 1Y03 is meant to be taken with 1YY3.

Can't go wrong with 1Y03.

Dr. Parise and Dr. MacDonald are awesome professors.

Chem 2E03, from what I've heard/seen, is fairly easy. I know people who did fairly well in that class without too much effort so it shouldn't be too bad.

This term Bio 2A03 doesn't seem that bad - midterm was apparently easy, and labs, although a fair amount of work, supposedly aren't the most difficult thing ever.

Kin 1A03 = Kin 1Y03 and Kin 1AA3 = Kin 1YY3. They're literally the exact same course, so it shouldn't matter whether someone took 1A03+1AA3 or 1Y03+1YY3.

To the OP, I'm not sure what you mean by SLP? but usually Kin 1A03/1Y03 on it's own doesn't fulfill any requirements, you need both halves. If you can get away with just taking the one, then I'd definitely recommend 1Y03.

I know that. I was just saying that 1Y03 and 1YY3 are meant to be taken together instead of just 1Y03.

There are two lists: one is "hardcore" anatomy/physiology, and the other is full of courses that touch on these topics, but aren't devoted to them. I have taken Psych 1XX3 and Psych 2F03, which are on the latter list, so now I need to take either Kin 1Y03 or Bio 2A03 because they are on the former list.

Thank you everyone for all the advice!
