Hello, I am going into honours bio and math this fall, and am deciding between 2F03 (ecology) and 2D03 (plant). Cameron will be teaching 2D03 and Kolasa 2F03. I have heard mixed reviews are these courses and profs. any advice?

both courses are easy. the things u learn in 2d03 will stick with u longer cus of the labs. take both if u can or just 2d03.

I answered this for someone else the other day on facebook so I'm just gonna copy and paste my answer.

Ecology is really easy, the midterm is basically common sense and the exam isn't much different. The "labs" were just brief presentations/debates that you were guaranteed an 80+ in if you put 5 minutes of effort into it. Plant bio was also really easy, but the labs become annoying really fast. They're 3 hours but you pretty much get the marks each time just for showing up. The lab exam at the end is a joke if you do the labs properly and pay attention. The exam reused probably 80% of the questions from the practice exam that she posted lol, and it was probably the easiest exam I've ever wrote. Also Dr. Cameron is very nice lady haha.

Bio 2D03 is a really easy course. The online quizzes are easy to get 90%+ on, like my and friends got over 100% on first online quiz. The two online quizzes are worth 15% each. The labs are extremely boring, and the exam is a joke.

I took both courses and found 2fo3 to be more interesting than 2d03, but it depends on what you like as well. In terms of easiness also, 2f03 was better as it had an extremely flexible marking scheme. To give you an idea, Dr. kolasa said that you'd be essentially getting a 100% on the exam even if you got 12 questions out of the 80 wrong. hope this helps
