A friend was enrolled in it during the 2011 Winter term. It was a really small class, about 25 people or so. And they had a presentation and lots of group work as well as guest lectures and stuff. She loved the course because of all the discussion and participation in class, but it was also a lot of work. Here's the course outline if you're interested: http://bio.mcmaster.ca/courses/ugrad...02008 -09.pdf
Also, you can always take it next year when and if it's offered again.

i took Bio 2g03 with dr quin. Loved it, got a great mark and made some excellent friends- you can see my thoughts on the course in detail in the review section. Dr Quinn is great and is really open to student ideas - Some groups took a social justice approach to their biodiversity projects while others were primarily western science based - and the prof was cool with both.

If you are interested in an inquiry type course related to biodiversty, I heard bio 4aa3 (Conservation Biology) is pretty much the same format + field trips.
