What is the bird that is on our logo?
As most of you know, on our athletic logo, it's normally an M with a bird's head in front of it? What bird is it? Is it an eagle, a hawk...? And if you know the answer to that, can anyone answer why?
It's been confusing be for the past 3 years...

SHWEDDIES says thanks to amliu for this post.

I've always assumed the bird was a marauder lol

As for why, not too sure either

I thought it was a phoenix.

And is a marauder an actual animal? i thought its akin to words like "Warrior". so like not a specific animal/person, more of a description.

According to wikipedia (great source, I know) the animal in the following logo is an eagle.

So...I'd go with eagle.

EDIT: Wait you made a typo :O (a phoenix, not an phoenix)

EDIT 2: Nvm, fixed it for you.

EDIT 3: I like the "as a symbol of rebirth and fiery zest" part. I presume that wasn't the same before.

That's exactly what I thought.. after I realized that a marauder isn't even an actual animal.
