So, what happened with the Brandon Hall fire does anyone know?

When was this?

the fire happened at aroudn 4am or something

my friend tells me that the North Quad co-ordinators were saying something like, Brandon residents should call their parents and try to go home for the weekend or something?!

can anyone confirm that?

i just talked to my roomate..apparantly no one is allowed inside or something.did someone put the elevator on fire?

a room on 2nd floor caught on fire or something

EFRT, police, and firefighters went in

and no one's allowed in yet; still waiting for fire marshall apparently

I went in for like 10 mins to grab my necessities but we still arent allowed back in for good yet :( i want to have my room back!!!!!!

doesn't look like it will be anytime soon, that people will be moving back. I hope my stuff is still intact there.

i talked to the cops on Saturday morning and they said everybodys rooms (with the exception of 2nd floor) are okay.

however, while your stuff may be intact, there could still be possible heat damage because of the smoke, but this is unlikely, considering our doors are designed to be fire/smoke proof for a certain amount of time (i think somebody told me 2-3 hours).

Well, people who are living 6th floor and up, they won't be moving back for the rest of the year. People living 5th floor and below might have a chance to return in January.

This is the most depressing news I have ever heard. I can't believe it's just all over. There goes my residence experience. I have enjoyed every single moment at Brandon Hall. I love you guys. Thanks for everything ninth floor...I'm never going to forget a single moment at Brandon.
