Bursary question
Hey everyone, happy new year . Well, I applied for OSAP and also applied for this bursary, but I just read a paragraph on the McMaster site regarding bursaries that confused me.

"Undergraduate Bursaries

Bursary applications are available to fully registered undergraduate degree students from September 15, 2010 to January 11, 2011.
To be eligible for consideration, you must have picked up all available OSAP (or out-of-province) funding for the current academic year and provided accurate gross income figures on your confirmation of enrolment form or have otherwise demonstrated financial need. "

I submitted my application before January 11th, but if I'm unable to pick up the second half of my OSAP before the 11th, do I forfeit all chances of getting this bursary? I'm having a little trouble picking up my osap right now because my SIN card has my official name, yet my government-issued photo ID has my English first name before my official name...and for some reason they said it wouldn't work (although it counted as acceptable identification last term?)

Secondly, does anyone know how I'll be able to pick up my OSAP? If I can provide another piece of ID that has my first name before my official name, do you think that will be enough to prove my identity? The SIN card doesn't have my first name because I got it in my home country before I immigrated, and if I were to update it, I'd miss the deadline for sure. I'm just really confused right now and any help would be appreciated!

Go to SFAS and ask them. Last time I passed by there was no line...
