50 bucks is pretty much the max I'm willing to pay for either... I'm not much for condition, as long as it's ready to go and usable.

I'm 4"10 so no bikes designed for giants please, lol.

Willing to haggle/offer.

My dad was looking at a couple of garage sales on the weekend and found decent (albeit old) bikes for as low as 15$... Kajiji goes for pretty low as well.

Besides, I'm not looking for something in supa dupa condition. A lot of people have a lot of garbage (kids bikes, old skateboards) lying around that are completely worthless to them, and would be more than willing to get rid of them for 50 dollars.

Just get a sledge hammer go steal a bike off campus at night. There are always a few that look like they've been locked up abandoned there for months.

Check out Boyz Toyz (i think it's spelled like that) in downtown hamilton. Its a tiny shop filled with so many old bikes that you barely have room to walk around. You should go on a day that you have a lot of time on your hands so that you can really get a good look around. I'm SURE you can find a bike there around $50. I've seen one that was $30 once.

check out Macycle (underneath the Pheonix)... they have an agreement with the city of hamilton where the city donates all the bikes they find to Macycle. Macycle then fixes it up and sells them for a max of $50-60...

Still better than walking. XD besides, someone could just be looking to be rid of one... Cheap doesn't necessarily mean bad condition. (just a lot of the time). I'm still gonna look for one around that price range.
