you can buy textbook with student card? is that true?

Yes, but you have to pay them back of course or else the interest is quite hefty.

You have to be 18 in order to use your student card as a credit card at titles.

It's not that bad, 1.2% per month is only 14.4% per year. A lot of credit card companies charge 18-20% annually. On top of that, I'm pretty sure using your student card as a credit card at titles doesn't affect your credit rating.

Interest is charged at the end of each month.

thats not true. as long as you sign the credit agreement, you can use ur student card as a credit card for your student account.

how do most people buy textbooks? cash or debit probably right?
is it good to start up for your student id credit card thing?

I use Mastercard. If you have enough money to pay off all your books in 21days then you should apply for a credit card. Some have rewards (really crappy rewards but better than nothing) and you can start working on your credit.

But if you can't pay off all your books in 21 days then there is no point in using a credit card because you'll rack up more interest than with the MacID credit card and your credit will hurt.
