buying windows 7?
i remember a while ago you could download or buy windows 7 for like $30 if you were a mcmaster student ( http://www.macinsiders.com/showthread.php?t=2443 4 ) ...

now when i checked for this offer it seems to be $95. is this right? should i buy it? is there some other deal offered at titles that's better?

It's free? That’s surprising...I don’t remember this. Do you remember what faculties were offering it for free (i.e., was science offering it for free :p)

science i think yes, they should definitely offer it. Ask your department about it(in engineering we have a specific site).
You can try it, but it may not work:

Holy Hell Batman!!

I gotta get in on this!! I'll look into whether Science has this, but worst case, I'll get my engineer friends to get it.

Well, too bad for science I guess :(

I sent an email to the MSDNAA admin at McMaster and I am waiting for his reply, but through Microsoft's MSDN site, I found this:

So it's just these two departments that have it I guess, I'll still see what the admin says.

But you could always get an engineering friend to do it.

Yea, but science is completely within the scope of msdnaa if I'm not mistaken, so why not take advantage of a good deal?
Oh an btw, you guys are entitled to at least ask to get registered.

so if i'm in social science i will just have to buy it through titles?

if i do buy it through titles, can i also buy another one through microsoft's website? they ask for your email... does titles take your email as well? i just wanted to know if i could get the discount twice or if they only let you buy it once.

Because I like to believe I'm a non-conformist .... and also because I want Windows 7 Ultimate, but yet still do not know the difference between it and professional.
