Apparently (to my surprise), Software Engineering isn't one of the most popular Engineering streams, so the CA required for it compared to the other more popular streams should be relatively low. As to can you get into X stream with Y GPA, no one can really say as it changes year to year.

From past years, a 4 is good enough for software. Obviously it depends on how many people apply to software, but i doubt you need a high gpa like a 5 or a 6.
Actually, a friend of mine told me few years ago that for software and game design there's no limit on the number of people that they take because all you need is your laptop. I am not entirely sure how valid that statment is

Hmm. I would be worried, why no one wants to do the program I am going to do. Just a thought.

In my year, i was considering software, but every time i mentioned it to my friends they would laugh..i don't think a lot of people liked d04 in first year :/ It wasn't bad to be honest..
